Fall is in the Air

We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Searching for the perfect pumpkin is a rite of passage for Fall. On Saturday the air was crisp and smelled of hay, the sun was about to set, the kids were happy, all was well with the world. Jeffrey and Owen were satisfied with the first pumpkin they saw, it was round, it was orange, it had a stem...perfection. Paige and I were a little more particular. Hers needed to be "teeny tiny," and alas, all the teeny tinies seemed to be rotten upon closer inspection. We searched and finally found one that was tiny without the squishy. Jeff piled the pumpkins in the wheelbarrow and we got down to the real reason we were there...the picture taking. We got a few good shots in before Paige found a goat and well, that was that. But all in all, it was a good day and we came home with a trunk full of pumpkins and new found fascination for friendly goats. A day well spent.
