The best day of his life

Jeffrey went to Cub Scout day camp this week. The first picture was before he left.
He was dressed and downstairs by 6:30 a.m. He wanted to leave the house by 6:40.
It was pure torture that he had to wait until 7:15.
Luckily the cartoon network and a bowl of cereal carried him through, just barely.
As we were driving over, I asked if he was excited, to humor him a bit.
He started bouncing in his seat, literally bouncing.
"Yes, this is going to be the best day of my life."
He has never been to scout camp before. He had no idea what it was going to be like.
But that didn't matter because he knew it would be awesome. Knew it.
This is perhaps my favorite thing about Jeffrey. The boy has a great attitude.
He knew it was going to be the best day ever.
He was not afraid. He was not nervous.
He was excited. Brimming over.
Because that is just how he is.
He jumps right in, expecting life to be awesome.
And it is.

Could you even believe how dirty they were when they got home? Here we had just spent 2 weeks camping....literally....and my boys didn't even come close to getting as dirty as they did at scout camp. It baffled me! What fun though!! Did you get a new pocket knife and a whip too?! ;)-
