It's been weeks. But the Pinewood Derby did happen. Again. (I do like scouting. I do.) Jeff and Jeffrey slaved over his car. Or Jeff did. And then Jeffrey slapped on some stickers and called it good. We cheered Jeffrey on. His car won some and lost some. And eventually lost more than it won. Poor Jeffrey was a little devastated. He did not win. Even being voted "The Most Fearsome" did not help the heartbreak. But Jeff did. He gave him one of those life lessons talks. And Jeffrey shed a tear or two. And then he got over it, like he always does. And the night was declared a success. And I found one more reason to love that husband of mine.
