Back to school

The first day of school. Second grade for Owen and fifth grade for Jeffrey. These pictures make me smile. I remember being pregnant with Owen. I was sure he was a girl, sure of it. And then we went to the ultrasound and I cried when we found out that baby of ours was a boy. And now, almost 8 years later, I look at this picture and I am so, so glad that baby wasn't a girl. So glad these two have each other, to play with and fight with and walk to school with. When they have their arms around each other, looking like they actually kind of like being brothers, it makes me happy.
