Creative

I watched the General Relief Society meeting for our church tonight and was so inspired by a talk given by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. He told the women of the church that we are daughters of the most creative being in the universe, our Heavenly Father. (I had never really thought of it that way, so cool!) As such, we have inherited a portion of that creativity as our divine birthright and what we do with it will essentially determine the full potential we have for happiness in this life. He listed all of the possibilities we have to create, and among those was the process of creating life and molding it as our children are born and grow. It really is an overwhelming thing when you think of it, that our Heavenly Father trusts us with his children, to provide them with bodies and nurture them as they grow and develop. Sometimes that responsibility seems overwhelming, but looking at it as a creative process seems to put a different light on it. Maybe there isn't really ONE right way to be a good momma to these 3 babes, maybe putting my own spin on it, doing it my own way, being creative with how our life goes from day to day is ok and maybe even better than ok, maybe it's what Heavenly Father had in mind all along. Hmmm... lots to think about.
